Jogja Kimochi Fest 2011

Assalamualaikum =)
I and my sister went to Kimochi Fest this weekend. It was so fun! There were a few competition. Some of them are dance, beat box, j-fashion, and cabaret. But among all of them it was Cosplay that attracted us to come.

I wore a red plaid dress originally designed by my sister, combined with a dark purple shirt. I put on a chain necklace as an substitute of a belt.

My favorite cosplayer. We had pretty similar colors on our bodies, no?

Summer Holiday: Where To Go?

Assalamualaikum =)
Glad i finally got a time (and idea!) to write on my blog. Since i'm on my "summer" holiday, and you sure are on holiday too, i decide to write about vacation destination.

The fact that i live in a country which only has two seasons (wet and dry) makes me consider to go on vacation abroad. I'm not that rich though, so this post is intended to YOU :D Aaaannddd i pick Australia! Why this country? Well i'm sure you already know that it's situated in the Southern Hemisphere which makes Australia is having winter starts in June to August. Get the idea? No? Really? SPENDING SUMMER HOLIDAY IN WINTER SEASON.

Winter In June

I feature winter clothes consist of brown jacket and boots. Brown is the most perfect color to wear on vacation in winter, I assume. Then I choose boho dress for the top. Both just give the warm feeling, don't they?

Now, where to go? Here i compose some tourist destinations' pictures i found on internet. I add the description of each place as well.

1. Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge.
Both are the iconic image of Australia. Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in the Australian city of Sydney. It is one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings. It has a few performance venues: concert hall, opera theater, drama theater, playhouse, studio, utzon room, and forecourt. The Sydney Opera House is backed by Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's locally nicknamed "The Coat Hanger" because of its arch-based design.

2. Melbourne, Victoria.
Melbourne is the second most populous city in Australia after Sydney. It is a center for the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, sport and tourism, making it becomes the "must-visit" tourist destinations in Australia.

3. Skycity Adelaide.
It is a large casino and recreational venue on the north edge of the Adelaide city center. It also holds the State's only table gaming license.

4. Kangoroo.
It  is the national symbol of Australia. There are lots of zoo and park in Australia where you can see both kangoroos and koalas. Some are located in Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. If you have enough courage to see them in the wild, then you should consider Canberra.

5. Townsville, Queensland.
Townsville is Australia's largest urban center north of the Sunshine Coast. The popular attractions include 'The Strand', a long tropical beach and garden strip and also 'Riverway', a riverfront parkland attraction located on the banks of Ross River.
So, do you consider to visit Australia? :)

Bring Back The Old-School

Assalamualaikum =)
Whoaa it's been one, two, three, four, FIVE months since i haven't updated this blog! Being in the last year of high school succeeds in making my blog neglected. At the same time, being as a 12th grade student gives me an idea to write a new post. How come?

So a few weeks ago, we, all seniors in Vidatra High had a photo session. In Indonesia, a high school yearbook is a book where you're able to dress like a supermodel in it, not just a collection of your passport photos. It happened to my school as well. So every class had to build an idea about what theme they will have, just like the themes you can see in the magazines. One of my friends came up to an idea of "old school". Yes, the 80-90s fashion. I agreed with her rightaway because i could imagine how exceptional it is. I could imagine when we open "our pages" and see pictures with old school effect, fashion, and stuff in it. Isn't it awesome? :)

When the day comes, the whole class dressed unusually. Flowers, ruffles, laces, stripes, polka-dots, plaids, high-waisted jeans and skirts were everywhere. Yes, everyone agreed with her idea. "Whoaa we actually dress like we stuck up in the 80s!" everyone said so. Curious to see? Here they are!

What do you think? The making process of the yearbook is currently running, and i hope we'll get the best result =)
